There are several different types of bladder stones, depending on their chemical makeup.

​

Struvite stones are composed of magnesium ammonium phosphate.  Staphylococus bacterial infections of the bladder such as systitis are usually the main cause for struvite stones.
 

Other types of stones are made of calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate, cystine, ammonium urate, or other chemical compounds.  Some stones can actually be a combination of these.

Each type of stone has its own different peculiarities as to which breed is most often affected and what factors affect the formation.

Dosage: Homeopathic remedies

​

10 drops on to fur in between shoulder blades.

​

Initial dosing: Dose 10 drops every 5 minutes until symptoms ease, usually after the first hour.  

​

For acute symptoms, dose every 30 - 60 minutes for the first 24 hours, then 5 - 10 times a day.  Can also place 10 drops in animals water bowl.
