Ear infections are most commonly caused by bacteria or yeast.  Ear mites, excessive hair, moisture or wax, foreign bodies, allergies and hypothyroidism can be an underlying issue and all be contributing factors in the development of an ear infection.

 

Your pet may display symptoms of head shaking, rubbing or scratching.  The ear may look red and inflamed or your pet may not let you touch their ears.  More serious infections can cause symptoms of dizziness and off balance (vertigo), head tilting, walking off to one side, high temperature and vomiting.  Your pet may also be cautious while eating or barking due to radiating pain when opening their mouth.

Dosage: Homeopathic remedies

10 drops on to fur in between shoulder blades, four times per day.  For acute pain dose every 5-10 minutes until relief is seen.  Then 5-10 times a day.  Can also place 10 drops in animals water bowl.
